Key Information

The school has a rich history, dating back to 1864. Since then it has been adapted to provide nine modern, well-equipped classrooms, two group-rooms, a large entrance area and a central library. The school benefits from a large hall, which is equipped with climbing apparatus.

The school is situated on a spacious site with two playgrounds, a playing field, football pitch and areas that are sheltered from the sun. We have a quiet area and sensory garden where children can sit and reflect. The grounds also have an environmental area, including a pond. Reception children benefit from using the “outdoor classroom”, extending their supervised learning outside. Pre-school children enjoy a purpose built lodge with a safe designated play area.

Each classroom contains an extensive range of resources to facilitate learning, these include: art areas, tape recorders, laptop computers, interactive white-boards, book corners with a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books.
