Friends

Welcome to The Friends of Horley Infant School

We welcome you and your family as members of The Friends. The committee, made up of parents, with the support of Hilary Salter and the staff, organise fundraising events and socials to help raise much needed funds. This enables The Friends to provide all the extras that the school is unable to buy within the school budget and the children benefit immediately from the funds raised.

How Can You Help?

As a charity we rely on volunteers and donations. Please volunteer when we appeal for helpers, it is a lot of fun and the funds raised make a big contribution to the school and enhance the childrens’ experiences. Some of the ways you can help are:

Your time either as a committee member or volunteering to help at events. The committee meet in the evening approximately once every half term.

Financial donations i.e. company match giving schemes or sponsorship.

Items donated which can be used for raffle prizes etc

Skills or talents you may be able to offer i.e. face painting, musicians, chefs, accountants etc - the list is endless

How Do You Raise Funds?

We organise everything from large events to small fundraising projects including

Christmas Fair • Summer Fair • Family Barbecue • Discos • Pamper Evening • Quiz Night with Indian Supper • Shopping Evening • Monthly Cake Sales • Second Hand Uniform Sales • 100 Club • School Tea Towel • Christmas Card • Calendar • Christmas Puddings
